Kissel Hill Counseling Associates, LLC was created to provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can engage in the most current therapeutic techniques with fully trained and licensed professionals. Andrea Barrow, MS, LPC
President/CEO, Outpatient Therapist
Andrea earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Behavior Specialist in the state of Pennsylvania.
Andrea has spent over 18 years in the human services field in a variety of roles from supervisory positions in outpatient and community-based settings to providing outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Her professional experience has provided her with a superior working knowledge of the mental health services available to those in her community which in turn allows her to provide her clients with necessary resources and referrals. She is currently seeing adult patients only.
As a lifelong resident of Lancaster county, Andrea has a unique understanding of our diverse community and the needs of its residents. She recognizes the importance of approaching each client as an individual and tailoring treatment to meet their specific needs.
In her free time, Andrea enjoys watching baseball, baking, reading, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
Teresa Villbrandt, MA, LPC
Tere is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania, and is Certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at York College of Pennsylvania, and has a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Prescott College in Arizona.
Tere has been a practicing therapist since 2005, and has been in the human services field for 21 years. Her various roles in community agencies, outpatient clinics, and educational settings have equipped her with a myriad of skills that allow her to be flexible and meet clients where they are. Her focus on self-compassion, mindfulness, and letting go of barriers to creating the life we each want can support each person in accessing their natural happiness.
Among other areas, Tere specializes in trauma therapy, and anticipates beginning to use her therapy dogs for this treatment. She also has extensive experience with developmental disabilities, mood disorders, and anxiety.
For leisure, Tere enjoys exercise, spending time with her husband and two small children, and being outdoors.
Therapy Dog in Training
Brienne is a Great Dane puppy (believe it or not!) and our therapy dog in training. Occasionally, Tere and Steve will bring Brienne to the office to work with their clients. While she may be the size of a small pony, Brienne is very gentle and sensitive and loves to interact with all our clients, especially kids.

Brittany Beers, MS, LPC
Brittany is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Millersville University, she continued her education with Millersville to obtain her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology.
Brittany’s professional experience in community, school, and outpatient office settings has allowed her the opportunity to develop her clinical skills and further refine her areas of focus. She believes in fostering therapeutic rapport in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment, and holds a strong belief in the importance of self-determination for all individuals. Brittany currently sees teenagers (14+) and adults.
In her free time, Brittany enjoys photography and spending time with her husband exploring new places and trying different activities.
Steven Villbrandt, MS, LPC
Steve is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate degree at Lock Haven University with a degree in Social Work, and he completed his Master’s in Counseling at Prescott College in Arizona.
Steve has worked in the field of structural family therapy since 2009. He specializes in working with families to cope with stressors and overcome obstacles. In addition to working with families, Steve enjoys working with adolescents, teenagers, adults, and couples.
Through his experience working with families, Steve has learned the importance of being down to earth and direct, and the importance of creating an empathetic environment conducive to personal change. He believes strongly in each individual’s ability to heal and grow once they are willing to put in the effort.
In his free time, Steve enjoys coaching and playing basketball and is an avid sports fan. He is the parent of two small children and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
